SVSLearn is an online education platform and community that offers an alternative pathway to becoming a professional illustrator. Members gain access to a comprehensive curriculum of foundational classes, courses led by industry professionals, and a vibrant community of like-minded aspiring artists.

To build on its significant pandemic-era success, SVSLearn partnered with FWRD to consolidate its customer base, reduce churn, and drive growth. The collaboration focused on modernizing their web platform, launching a new student community hub, and implementing robust advertising and CRM systems.

Branding

Considering SVSLearn's diverse audience and multiple platforms, FWRD developed a branding solution that is subtle yet vibrant and highly adaptable. The new identity presents a clean, modern face while honoring the brand's original identity, ensuring versatility across SVSLearn's many courses, podcasts, and initiatives.

Previously, SVSLearn.com was built using a mix of tools to support its educational platform infrastructure. FWRD streamlined this system into just two core pillars. The public-facing site, once hosted on Squarespace, was completely redesigned and rebuilt in Webflow to enable greater customization and more dynamic content management. This new Webflow site was then seamlessly integrated with the Circle.so community platform, creating a unified, modern hub for SVSLearn that replaced the old forum-based model.

Marketing

Following a huge model shift from monthly memberships to annual and biannual, FWRD developed a multi pronged marketing approach of:

  • Paid advertising on META and google platforms
  • CRM flows to reacquire previous customers from the sizeable newsletter list and reduce student churn by keeping the community engaged.
  • Authority video series designed to engage customers with a la carte courses.
